Bush Baby is a new, fresh and groundbreaking clothing line created by Thami Mgijima a young Zimbabwean man. (ME!)

Driven and inspired by revolutionary trendsetting lines like Billionaire Boys Club,Ice Cream and exclusive lines like Trilly & Truly and Fall of Rome; the young swagger fanatic mesmerised by what his fashion idols had achieved, decided to pioneer something of his own and seek success in his own right.

The whole concept was born when Thami was still in high school in Zimbabwe; his best friend’s infant niece had very nappy hair and they would always call her a little bush baby and the idea stemmed from there into what it is today.
The Bush Baby design is simple yet raw, trendy and eye-catching. Focusing on vivid and bold colours the up and coming line is available on t-shirts,hoodies and sweaters.

Bush Baby represents quirky originality, a breath of fresh air and if you like fresh gear you need to cop yourself one of these!

Babycakes Photo shoot!!!

Okay so today was the day !! A few weeks ago I put up pictures of the new exclusive Babycakes jumper that's about to come out soon!
I WAS ASKED TO MODEL THE JUMPER for the new Babycakes catalogue BY PAUL GRIFFITHS HIMSELF! (the CEO and Creative Director of Babycakes)
It was something completely new for me,I'm usually the last person who wants to be in front of the camera!
They took loads of shots with me wearing the jumper,I did some wearing my geek glasses,some wearing the Babycakes eyewear and some with another model as well (didn't catch her name though)

I'll have the photos up as soon as they are emailed to me.
I went there with my homegurl Niisse! check her out on randomanthom.blogspot.com she got her swag in check and she was reppin' that Bush Baby pretty hard!

so my modelling career just kinda took off.
All I have to say is ,make sure you look fly where ever you go... you never know whose eye you might catch and what opportunities lie around the corner.

The leader of the prominent opposition party MDC and Prime Minister of Zimbabwe (my home nation) was in Washington and met up with the President of the United States Barack Obama.He was praised for his galliant efforts to instill and maintain a positive change to the economic and political situation in Zimbabwe.In response he spoke articulately and thanked the president for his support.

Zhang Huan

Zhang Huan is a Chinese artist based in New York. He is primarily a performance artist but he also occasionally makes photographs and sculpture.


Zhang’s performances always involve his body in one way or another, usually naked, occasionally involving masochistic actions; he cites the body as a primary method of communication, describing it as the only means by which people experience the world and vice versa. By using quasi-religious ritual, he seeks to discover the point at which the spiritual can manifest via the corporeal. He uses simple repetitive gestures, usually regarded as meaningless work-for-work’s-sake chores. Buddhism, with its temple music, sculptures and philosophy are a prevalent theme in Zhang Huan’s work.

Here is a recent picture of him wearing a suit made completely of raw beef ;it's a representation of how some body builders pump themselves up because they are desperate to hide their insecurities and shortcomings.

Janelle Monae is an artist whose debut EP is based on a world of her imagination - literally! Her pseudonym, is Cindi Mayweather,an android who falls in love with a human.This is deemed illegal in the futuristic world that they live in so now she is on the run from the law.(who thinks of such things!)
I would describe her as the female Andre 3000 her style is quirky,vibrant and so super SUPER UNIQUE!Just look at the futuristic elements in the video,the theme and concept is so raw and surreal.

Babycakes Clothing will soon be releasing a limited edition jumper - ONLY 96 of these jumpers will be released.I smell an exhorbitant price! Each jumper will have a number eg 62/96 .It seems only 95 of these jumpers will be on sale,word is the 1st one will be exhibited in a gallery..

The movie of the summer!

I have to admit I watched Night At The Museum I and I was pretty impressed- when I was like 15/16,I was honestly a bit a sceptical about the sequel because I thought it would be ridiculously cheesy.
HAA! but lo and behold Ben Stiller and the rest of the star-studded cast including funny men Owen Wilson and Robin Williams pulled it off again to make a spectacular adventure of a film!
The plot is bigger with a vast array of new characters and a rather informative delve into history that I found very captivating.The humour is hilarious and a brief cameo by Jonah Hill in the beginning just sets the stage for how they make really funny jokes out of the most mundane things you can imagine throughout the movie - like FLASHLIGHTS!
Go see the film if you haven't had a chance, it's a winner.

I had the privilege of meeting the CEO and Creative Director Of Babycakes Paul Griffiths himself today ! I'm completely blown away by his work! It's amazing!

I was completely gob-smacked haha coz the dude said he's seen me around town strutting my stuff and he's feeling my swagg ,I shook his hand and he showed me one of the new limited edition Babycakes jumpers.

Babycakes is a clothing line started by Paul Griffiths,it started off as a project he carried out in his bedroom but it grew into the big phenomenon it is today in coalition with American Apparel.They have a store based here in Manchester but their merchandise is sold world-wide.

In Retrospect

SO THE saying goes,I came I saw I conquered

But in retrospect I've pondered and I've asked myself as to why I even bothered

I blindly threw myself into this deep dark pit called Love

I stretched out my hands in the hope that you would reach for them from up above

But alas, you turned your back and you flew away like a dove

I looked up from that pit and I watched you depart

But you came back and you begged your way into my heart

your words and tears pierced me as sharp as a dart ,so I believed you

I accepted you for being pure and true

But in retrospect I've pondered and I've asked myself as to why I even bothered

I'm the bird that put himself back in his trap

I freed myself but I came back ,back to what ?

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

I'm so ridiculously exhausted!

just had an economics exam ,a resit from last year ..there's something about that paper I just don't seem to get.. it's the first paper but I just seem to slightly miss the gist of it all!

I'm so frustrated I just hope I did the correct thing this time.

AFTER the exam all the boffins we're congregating and they we're conducting their post examination review , " Angus what say you about the content of the paper?!" lol

anyhoo I need to get some revision done my A2 exams officially start next week so I have loads of work to be getting through!

All I can think about right now is having FUN with my friends ..2 more weeks and it's back to this....

LOOKING FLY SON yes the one and only...

I was in Belgium last year for a college trip

We went to the capital Brussells and another city Bruges where they predominantly speak Flemish...

it was quite an experience we went to the Coca-Cola factory and we got to taste different types of coke and other fizzy drinks that aren't for sale here in England or even in Europe for that matter..

we also went to a brewery where we got to taste unpurified beer with fragments of barley still inside (yeah I'm above the drinking age don't get worried)..it was quite an experience

okay this is quite funny (???!!)
